IronWORDS...

Can you tell what this spells?

Charleston photos...

My bestest friend and I went on a photography tour of Charleston at the beginning of May- it was the best $18 I ever spent to learn more about photography! I've never shared the photos, so here are a few favs...

Finally! (in more ways than one...)

Well, I finally am able to POST! Dumb blogger hasn't let me sign in for days now- wassup with THAT?!?!

Also- I HAVE TWO MORE JOB INTERVIEWS!!! Which is AWESOME! The possible hard part? More than one offer! ARGH! I told God to put me where He wants me- doesn't He realize that I'm already spread too thin?

But, back to the point...one is at my children's school, which would be great in terms of us all being together as a family. With the other interview, I could possibly be teaching 3rd grade with our minister's wife, which would be WAY awesome! And there is still a possibility that the first interview I had will come up with a position for me. SO...which one, Lord???

I'm praying that God opens ONE door. Just one. I really don't want to have to choose, they'd all be great. And I'm afraid that I might choose the wrong one. So I'm praying too that God grants me PEACE about whatever decision I might have to make.

Oh- and no offers yet...but all three talk to me as if I already have a job, so that's why I'm starting to feel a wee bit anxious. Please pray for me!

And pray for us all as we head to camp this Saturday...we will be gone for a week. Pray for safety and health- thanks!

"See" you soon!

ETHAN update...you have to read this!

This was on www.ethanpowell.com:

June 4th- Day 115

4th update/ 6:33pm [Ben] Ethan's hospital room should be ready around 7:30-8:00pm, so we are getting a little bit of a late start. NOW FOR SOME BIG NEWS!

Let me start by saying... what I am about to announce does not change anything, other than I take it as a positive GOD sign. You probably know by now that Ethan was infected 78% in the marrow, and needs to be down below 5% (really 0%) to be where they would like him to be at the time of transplant.

THEY RE-CHECKED THE COUNT, AND IT MYSTERIOUSLY DROPPED TO 56%. (SAME LABS... JUST A RE-COUNT OF THE CELLS!) NOW WE WERE TOLD BY OUR DOCTORS (AND WE HAVE EXCELLENT DOCTORS) THAT THIS DOES NOT CHANGE THINGS ONE BIT BECAUSE 56% MIGHT AS WELL BE 78%. BUT I SAY... GOD IS AT WORK!!! PRAYER IS AT WORK! PRAYER WORKS!!! BELIEVE!!!! PRAYER WORKS!

Please DON'T STOP BELIEVING...just KEEP ON PRAYING...

www.ethanpowell.com

I stumbled across www.ethanpowell.com through someone else's blog-

Short version- Ethan is 6 months old and was diagnosed with leukemia at 8 weeks old, with only a 15% chance for survival. He has been at St Jude's since (112 days). He has had a rough road, and today as they checked his blood for leukemia, hoping for 0-25%, it showed 78%.

His parents are members at the University CofC in Louisiana. They are DESPERATE for prayers RIGHT NOW. They may do ONE more round of chemo and check again in 2 weeks- if no change...the doctors say they will be done.

I BEG YOU to read their updates on their website AND PASS THE WORD!

You will be moved by their faith...

God is SOOOO GOOD!!!

My "interview" was AWESOME!!!

It was a "talk", for about an hour, with a principal friend that I knew as a teacher when I taught in CCSD years ago. He spent the first 30 minutes updating me on the district changes and his school; the next 15 with me showing him my scrapbook and talking about me; and then another 15 showing me around the school. We shared ideas and just TALKED...it was the BEST interview I have ever had!!! He made me feel appreciated and valued as a teacher, unlike a couple other interviews where I was told I was not on the "cutting edge" because I'd been out of public schools for 10 years. Yes, I have a lot to learn, but he agreed with me that materials and methods change, but good teaching never does!

Bottom line...he would like for me to come work at his school and I WOULD TOO- but he is waiting on the position to officially open. He is also going to be sure to share my name with some other principals who he knows have openings. BUT I WOULD SO LOVE TO WORK FOR HIM AT HIS SCHOOL!

God is so good and He will show me through this...I told my friend that, too, because he is a Christian (that's another reason why I'd love to work there). I am just so blessed and thankful today for a wonderful conversation and validity that I AM A TEACHER.

I'm gonna have an incredible weekend! I hope you do, too. Thanks for your prayers, keep praying for me because PRAYER WORKS.
